Honored to sit in with Reggae Dynasty as part of Reggae Under the Stars last Sunday, November 12, 2017 on St. John! With the theme “A place of the past through the eyes of the Native St. Johnians”, the event was organized to benefit the Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Clinic following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
Thanks to all that attended and took part in the memorial for Jerry at Fat Turtle on July 30, 2017. It was an honor to be a part of the event, which was organized by Ida “Cookie” Brown and was attended a host of celebrated musicians, who dedicated their performances to Jerry, along with many friends and fans.
Jerry E. Harris, well known in local and national Jazz circles, passed away on May 7, 2017. He was a staple at fine St. Thomas venues such as Fat Turtle, Northside Bistro, and Tavern on the Waterfront. “Showtime HQ” is officially open! The St. Thomas Carnival Village was named in honor of the 1994 Road March tune “Showtime” by Nick “Daddy” Friday and the original Jamband.
