It was a night of amazing stars as the Classes of the 70s hosted its 2nd annual Clash of the Decades talent show and scholarship fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at the C.A.H.S. Ruth E. Thomas Auditorium featuring music from the 50’s to present.
Local favorites took to the stage to deliver the hits from the 50’s to the present, including: Stephanie Vanterpool, Chester Brady, Darryl Lewis, Abu Springette, Empress I, Lorraine Baa, Eugene Kuntz, Sam Topp, Shakima Jones, Dr. Ronald Nimmo, Ena Foy, Freddie Canton, Jeannette Rhymer, Sidney Bell, Jah Man, Aben Marrero, Lidell Mulraine, Magic Mulraine, St. Clair “Whadabli” de Silva, and Rivo Hodge. Additional entertainment was provided by the Superior Court Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra Pan ‘Round the Neck ensemble, which lead a tramp from the school grounds back to the panyard.
It was an honor to serve as band director and play keyboards alongside Cliff Finch on bass, Haile Israel on guitar, Abu Springette on percussion, and Tommy Pilgrim on drums.
Proceeds will go towards the the 70s Classes of the Decade, Inc. Scholarship Fund for graduating high school seniors.
